Early 19th century Regency ebonised and ormolu mounted armchair.
A fine and elegant chair with a strong ebonised frame mounted with gilt ormolu floral rosettes. The rosette mounts are finely cast and are of high quality.
The vibrant yellow silk fabric is neatly upholstered and the chair is firm and very comfortable. The gilt brass piping is sunken into the frame and follows the chair design throughout.
The top rail is reeded and scrolled with the back of the chair finished in the yellow silk with brass studs.
