A Very Good Quality Regency Period Mahogany Bowfront
Console Table Having Well Figured Top Over Attractive Frieze
With Applied Ormolu Mounts Raised On Elegant Turned And
Reeded Legs With Original Brass Caps
(This elegant console table dates from the Regency period and
is constructed from superbly figured mahogany. The ormolu mounts
are also good quality and extremely detailed. It stands on exceptionally
elegant reeded legs which in combination with the overall quality of
construction and choice of high end, highly figured veneers suggest
that it originates from one of the top workshops of the time. It is a brilliant
size in terms of not being overpoweringly large, but still just about large
enough to have a presence in just about any room of the home no
matter how large or small)
