A good late 19th century ship’s bulkhead clock. The silvered 5 inch dial with subsidiary seconds dial and signed “DENT, London”. The original eight day movement with platform escapement stamped No. 2655.
Edward John Dent is known as one of the foremost clock makers of the 19th century, and is most famous as the creator of ‘Big Ben’.
