A rare pair of early George III silver pepper/spice casters made in London in 1762 by Jabez Daniell. This rare pair are unusual as they are the same date and maker with the same original family initials underneath the foot but have differing finials so as to indicate the differing contents .One could have been used for example for white pepper and the other for ground nutmeg. They are beautifully made and in excellent crisp condition- a rare pair by the specialist caster maker Jabez Daniell. They are very well hallmarked on the bases and lids.
