A rare Elizabethan oak and polychromed chest. Circa 1570.
This fine panelled chest has a three panelled lid above. The front with two wonderful portrait panels centred by a fruiting flower. Extensive original polychrome remains to these panels. The end panels with original central polychrome decoration.
The whole is a stunning colour and patination.
