A superb quality and rare burr yew wood late Regency / William IV card table.
English Circa 1830.
The finely figured and burr yew wood rectangular foldover top with rounded corners opens to reveal the original baize inset over a frieze with shaped brackets and roundel medallions, supported by a turned gun barrel pillar on a quatreform base with scroll feet and conforming roundels.
Exceptional colour and original patina with choice cuts of yew used through out, retaining the original distressed baize insert, this rare table is certainly for the collector or discerning client.
