A fine quality bark effect hallmarked silver wine coaster made by Toye, Kenning and Spencer of Birmingham.
This fine coaster is specially hallmarked with the 200 anniversary mark (1973) for the opening of the Birmingham assay office (1773).
This bark effect is quite unusual and is seen on silver by Gerald Benney, Christopher Lawrence and a few others. It is in excellent condition.
