An extremely rare 18th century English provincial walnut country high back corner armchair, retaining excellent untouched colour and patina throughout.
With turned supports over pierced splats and drop in seat, raised on square legs.
A most unusual and charming design of chair, dating to the mid 18th century.
The armchair is in excellent, untouched, rustic condition and still very much fit for purpose.
It retains a wonderful warm colour and patina and would be a real statement in any room.
