Pair of rare Victorian Silver Birds made in circa 1895 by Ludwig Neresheimer of Hanau Germany. These finely detailed models of birds are in excellent condition. Each of the models has a detachable lid on their back which is surmounted by a figure of a bird suggesting that they may have been used as vessels for spice or for some other purpose. An unusual and fine duo!
