A handsome pair of early Nineteenth Century carved mahogany Gainsborough armchairs; the upholstered back and seat with upholstered back and seat and raised in crisply carved mahogany cabriole legs to front and rear. The cabriole legs are beautifully drawn and are carved with acanthus leaves to the ear pieces with scallop shells on the knee and terminate in scaled claw and ball feet.
