A Pair of George III Period Mahogany Stools.
The well figured and solid dish shaped seats, carved on all four corners with oval paterae and bordered by carved fans. The four baluster legs, finely turned with collars and united by four similarly turned stretchers.
These unusual stools are particularly finely made with an outstanding level of detailing. They have survived in a remarkably untouched state, the dense West Indian mahogany having acquired a wonderful colour and patina.
