A pair of very fine antique silver George III candelabra with baluster stems and oval bases made in 1802 in Sheffield by Daniel Holy and Company.
The candelabra have very fine palmette decoration to the upper part of the base and this lovely design is repeated on the centre section of the candelabra branches and each of the detachable nozzles.
The candelabra are clearly hallmarked on all the detachable nozzles in correct fashion and on the bases and branches.
They also have an import mark struck by the English hallmarks showing that they must have been in France in the nineteenth century. The branches can be removed to leave a fine pair of candlesticks.
The candelabra are in excellent condition and would be a rare and impressive addition to any dining table or sideboard.
