A pair of wonderful antique silver Art Nouveau dishes made by Elkington and Company ( one dish hallmarked London 1910,one dish hallmarked Sheffield 1911,both Elkington and Company. Both dishes are fitted with the marvellous green glass typical of the ‘Nouveau’movement and both the bodies and the glass are in top class condition.These are a pair of outstanding large centrepieces ( we would be prepared to sell them individually)They are finely engraved and splendidly hand pierced .To the underneath of each there is a design registry mark -Rd 523932 which means that the design was registered in early May 1908.Designs were registered to stop competitors copying the original designers - as in a copyright.
