One of the very best Omar Ramsden wine goblets or beakers that I have seen or handled.  It is beautifully worked and set with six sugar loaf cabochon green chrysoprase stones.  The decoration to the base is of acorns and oak leaves with six repeating faces between the stones, possibly representing the “green man”. The beaker has no inscription and  shows no sign of a removal.  Most likely it was a marriage or engagement gift, given the acorn design.

It is fully  hallmarked for London 1930.  Lovely “in the hand” and in excellent condition.
