Federico was a pupil of Antonino Leto (Monreale1844- Capri 1913). Federico was nicknamed 'the painter of the sea' due to his seascapes. His works were exhibited in Paris at the salon in 1914 , Pan Pacific International Exposition in 1915 in San Francisco, the Italian Exposition in 1923 in Buenos Aires and throughout Italy.
