Oak 19th Century Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Table.

A Delightful 19th Century Oak Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Table, Of Rare Large Proportions, Having Very Well Figured Plank Top With Cleated Ends Retaining Excellent Untouched Colour And Patina, With One Drawer To Frieze At Each End, Raised On Bold, Sturdy Square Legs.

This absolute gem of a farmhouse dining table boasts great size, comfortably seating 10 people, possibly even 12 on occasions and is the perfect shape to use in a whole variety of dining rooms and kitchens with all sorts of different styles and designs of chairs.

The top, which is constructed from well figured oak planks retains good colour and patina, and whilst there is plenty of evidence of use throughout the many years of its life it remains just as functional as the day it was made. It also boasts a small drawer to each end which is a nice useful feature as well.

The square leg base is incredibly sturdy and strong, whilst remaining very attractive, which is of course down to the heavy set, bold, square legs, resulting in an incredibly sound, solid table. Another great feature is the stretcherless design, ensuring that there are no support stretchers getting in a persons way whilst they try to sit at the table.

An absolutely charming table of great size, which can comfortably seat 10 and is the perfect shape for just about any dining room and can be used with almost any kind of chairs.

It retains a quite exceptional colour to the top, which is well figured and has clearly been well used throughout the years, whilst still remaining perfectly functional. Another nice feature is the drawer, some don’t have a drawer at all. Each leg has been tipped at the bottom in customary fashion, to ensure the table is the correct height for dining.

As with all items we offer for sale it has been naturally wax polished, in the traditional manner, by our specialist antique furniture restorers before being offered for sale, ensuring it is ready to be placed straight into the home.
