A fine and interesting Salmon Fishing Trophy sketch of a 57lb River Awe Salmon, inscribed for PD Malloch of Perth. This magnificent yellow-bellied specimen was presumably drawn in detail to note the colouring and markings of the specimen fish, for the painter to recreate on the fully carved example commission from Malloch's. In excellent original condition, this work was discovered in a sketch book and therefore has not suffered from fading and is now mounted on acid free backing and housed in a bespoke made ebonised frame, and behind museum glass, for exhibition purposes.Stock number
