Antique Karabagh rugs are much sought after by collectors and designers as they boast some of the oldest and most varied designs of all Caucasian weavings, and represent perhaps the finest in quality and artistry amongst pieces from this region.

This unique mid-century example features a rare floral design, inspired by high-end European weavings of the 19th Century, over a warm red ground, framed by a wide, decorative border. Its composition is more open than other pieces of its era, and lends the work a feeling of space and balance.

Retained in very good condition for everyday use.
