THIS RARE EXAMPLE OF A MEDIEVAL HUTCH TABLE WAS FIRST DISCOVERED IN A PROPERTY IN IRELAND FROM WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND THEN FOUND ITS WAY TO ENGLAND, IT WAS THEN SOLD INTO A PRIVATE COLLECTION FROM WHERE WE MANAGED TO PURCHASE IT. THIS RARE ENGLISH HUTCH TABLE IS OF FINE DEEP RICH COLOUR AND PATINATION. THE ORIGINAL DOOR STILL INTACT WITH ORIGINAL IRONWORK. THE FOLD OUT TOP STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL PULL OUT LEAF SUPPORTS, THE CLEATED TOP WITH IRON BUTTERFLY HINGES WAS COMPLETELY RESTORED IN THE 18TH CENTURY. AFTER RESEARCH ACADEMICS BELEIVE IT TO BE FROM THE SAME WORKSHOP AS THE AUMBRY SOLD IN THE ADLER COLLECTION, SOTHEBYS 24 FEB 2005, LOT 53.
