Beautifully chased bezel supporting an enamel dial with subsidiary seconds dial at twelve o’clock and offset winding hole signed ‘Ferdinand Schleifer In Wein’. Square brass plated movement of month duration resting on a seatboard. Dead beat escapement, maintaining power and beat regulation to the crutch with steel rod pendulum and double sided brass bob. C.1840.
