A magnificent pair of 7ft Victorian twisted carved timber Corinthian columns circa 1880.

This stunning and imposing pair of columns standing 7ft high having carved Corinthian capitals above twisted columns with entwined carved floral garlands.

Standing on turned bases the columns are constructed from pine and have a scumbled finish giving the look of cast iron and also a mahogany appearance. The carving and design are of first class having perfect proportions.

These columns are in excellent condition having been restored using traditional methods and wax polished having no missing carvings or breaks.

The columns would look truly stunning in situ making them a statement piece for any home or interior designer to work with. A very rare pair of columns in excellent condition.

Provenance: These came from a large Hall in Leicestershire.
