Longines WWW Dirty Dozen British Army Wristwatch circa 1945

WWW stands for Watch, Wrist, and Waterproof and was the descriptive code used by the British Army for the 12 Swiss manufacturers of the WWW. 
As such, a complete collection is commonly referred to as “The Dirty Dozen.”
Around 5,000 Longines WWW watches were made for and issued by the British Army.

Condition report

The watch is in excellent condition, with all the original luminous paint on the dial and hands untouched. The lug and case back number match, which confirms the mid-case and case back are original.
