Delightfully painted in soft tones of blue conveying the lightness and charm of Chinoiserie and the fascination for the peony.
The centre decorated with a large peony within a floral spray surrounded by a border containing four flowerheads with trellis work interposed. Decorated in blue on a blue glaze.
In original condition. Probably Liverpool, third quarter of the 18th century.
