A late 19th century Japanese silver Jewellery box with lock and key, decorated with a high relief wrap around flying dragon design, on a textured hammered ground. The dragon is of classical Japanese form with deer-like antlers, long whiskers and a twisting snake-like body. Heavenly clouds can be seen twisting about its body. The box is lined with blue velvet, likely to be original.
