.Massive, Late-19th century, French, silvered carboy glass table lamp

- Unique and individual conversation table lamp.
- Massive size, the carboy 54" maximum diameter, 20" high.
- Beautiful silvering creating a soft mirrored effect amplifying light through reflection.
- Injects character into contemporary, modern or period interiors.

The word carboy is from the Persian qarabah (?????), from Middle Persian Karavah. Arabic also borrowed it as qarraba, meaning "big jug". Demijohn originally referred to any glass vessel with a large body and small neck, enclosed in wickerwork.
