A rare pair of late 15th / early 16th century English carved oak roof angels. Circa 1480/1500.
This very attractive pair of English oak roof angels would have been positioned along the ribbed vaulting of a medieval church ceiling or rood screen, hence the grooving on the back.
Lovely natural colour and patination.
Private collection.
