Large 19th Century Scene of William Shakespeare.

Of imposing size this well painted scene of an audience with Shakespeare has a complex composition dating to the late 19th Century / Early 20th Century circa 1890-1910 signed J Alvero.

All eyes are certainly drawn to William Shakespeare reciting poems / play pre-publication to a country house gathering with script in hand. The women attending of obvious wealth, whom would have been highly regarded due to their exquisite dresses worn.

Very well painted with fine detail and in the original crisply carved gilt frame. 

Condition excellent.
