A Japanese late 19th Century refined Bronze and multi-metal Koro

From our collection of Japanese Meiji-era (1868-1912) metalware, this refined Bronze and multi-metal Koro in the form of a Tide Pearl. The Bronze body of the vessel decorated with Silver Carp swimming as if emerging from murky water. The knop of the Koro is in the form a small Silver water bird perched on a log floating on the water. The Silver patinated Bronze base in the form of a flowing river.
