A wonderful pair of ornamental lead vases in the Attic style with original patination dating to the early 20th century.

Having a superb colour and patination, moulded in lead after a model taken of the ancient Attic crater by Sosibios.  The two scrolled handles issuing from the heads and necks of swans, the body displaying in relief various gods including Hermes, Apollo and maenads, raised upon a circular socle. Retaining a good part of the original varnish.
