An Imari Vase and Cover.

A fine early 18th century Japanese Imari octagonal vase and cover, decorated in the Imari palette and with typical decorations including flowering peonies and foliage and a marvellous crane in a landscape with flowering prunus trees, the lid similarly decorated and surmounted by a white glaze lion on a rocky outcrop.
