A Large Imari Lamp.

A superb very large 19th century Japanese Imari vase, of baluster form, decorated in the typical Imari palette of iron reds and blue with gilt highlights, but also blacks and greens, on a predominantly white background, with cartouche panels depciting courtly figures in a garden and pavilion landscapes, the panels interspersed with flowering chrysanthemums and pomegranates, above which are smaller panels with gilded cranes, now mounted as a lamp with hand gilded turned base.

Height of vase: 22 1/2 in (57 cm) including giltwood base but excluding electical fitment and lampshade.

All of our vases can be wired for use worldwide. A selection of card, linen or silk lampshades can be supplied on request.
