A very complete and extensive hallmarked silver engraved Sandringham flatware service for twelve persons made in 1959-1963 all by the silversmith to the late George V Edward Viner of Sheffield.This wonderful set which is in an unusual pattern(The pattern itself is not uncommon but the beautiful engraving makes it special) is very extensive and comprises - 12 Soup spoons-12 Table forks-12 Dessert spoons-12 Dessert forks-12 Teaspoons-12 Coffee spoons -12 Starter/Grapefruit spoons-12 Table knives-12 Dessert Knives-12 Fish knives -12 Fish forks -12 Fruit knives -12 Fruit forks-6 Serving spoons-Pair of Fish servers-2 Sauce ladles- 5 piece Carving set and a Soup ladle.The majority of the pieces are fitted into a wooden chest some pieces ie the Fish knives and forks are in tarnish proof wraps.(Fish servers,Sauce ladles,Carving set and Soup ladle not pictured)- nor Wooden box.A large 172 pieces in total and in good condition.All the knives and fruit forks are dish washer safe as they have no filling inside( hard soldered) so they are very easy to maintain.
