For sale is this unusual and very good Guild of Handicraft silver inkwell with an enamel plaque set into the lid.   The enamel depicts a classic Guild motif of a galleon, highlighted in highly foiled enamels using the cloisonne technique (enamels are set within wire work surrounds). The box has classic Guild ball feet and four curved sides.

The inkwell is in excellent condition.  The underneath of the enamel plaque (the so called counter enamel) shows some firing cracks of no consequence.  The green glass liner is possibly original.
