Georgian Ouroboros Hair Locket Brooch circa 1800.

A fabulous Georgian ouroborus brooch with a serpent wound around a beautiful locket compartment containing a lock of hair. The serpent has beautifully engraved scales and head and is believed to represent eternity, the cycle of life and renewal. 

The brooch is closed to the reverse, typical of the Georgian era and is in wonderful condition.

Price Code: A, Up to £500.

Era: Georgian, 1714 - 1837.

Measurements: Length 2.9cm; Width 1.5g; Weight 3.6g.

Hallmarks: Unmarked, tests as gold.
