A very attractive mid 19th century Georgian Oak Dresser Base, retaining exceptional untouched colour and patina throughout.

Having well figured top over three frieze drawers with replacement brass handles and two cupboard doors with attractive shaped fielded panels.

Dressers are one of the most loved and also most versatile pieces of furniture which money can buy and have nearly always been well used in their previous lives with many a fine story to tell!

Dressers were made throughout the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and a large proportion of them originally started life in two parts with a plate rack above the base, but not all, and it is now more common to find them without the racks as so many have been discarded throughout the years.

They can be used in many different places around the home including kitchens, hallways, living rooms and dining rooms. This example is a good practical size and retains an excellent colour and patina.
