A very good quality 18th century Chippendale period Georgian mahogany chest of relative small proportion. Having well figured top over two short and three long drawers retaining original swan neck handles, raised on original shaped bracket feet.

This functional little chest is a great size. Small enough to be useful and used anywhere, including as a bedside table should the owner desire. It is however also large enough to still be both practical and functional, as well as charming.

It is also exceptionally well constructed for something so relatively plain and retains a superb colour and patina, as well as its original brass swan neck handles and its elegant original bracket feet.

This piece will absolutely serve its original function just as well as it did on the day it was made well over 200 years ago!

Before being offered for sale it has been through our traditional workshops and naturally wax polished to make it ready for immediate home use.

Circa 1760.

Height - 32in.
Width - 34in.
Depth - 20in.
