A very good quality late 18th Century Mahogany Serpentine Tray Top Commode, or Bedside Night Table.

Having well figured galleried top with pierced handles, above tambour door and converted pull-out drawer, raised on square legs.

An excellent example of the stereotypical Georgian bedside night table with the added bonus of elegant serpentine form, which is quite unusual to find.

These continue to prove extremely popular options for bedside tables, due to their relative sturdiness (especially when compared to various other bedside options), the storage they are able to offer and the tray type tops which make it much less likely items perched on top will get knocked over.

Circa 1780.

Height - 30in.
Width - 22in.
Depth - 18in.
