Lyre shaped plated frame standing on raised rectangular silvered plinths.

Silvered dial with Roman numerals incorporating a seconds dial to the top, original ‘blued’ steel hands.

Eight day chain fusee movement with fine quality wheelwork and anchor escapement, regulating pendulum and holdfast. The frame signed to the front Jones, Strand and numbered 338. Circa 1820.

Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the world by Brian Loomes lists Jones as working from The Strand, London circa 1820.
