A George III Sheraton period burr yew veneered octagonal tea caddy: the lid inlaid with two ovals of burr yew and crossbanded in tulipwood with ebony and boxwood stringing opens to reveal a fitted interior which retains its original lift-off lids; the front inlaid wth two ovals of burr yew and a diamond escutcheon in bone. Retaining an excellent colour and patination.
