Georgian Armorial Fob Seal circa 1800.
A fabulous Georgian gold armourial seal fob.
The oval armourial seal has a heraldic coat of arms carved into a oval shaped escutcheon in a quartz crystal within a simple rose gold openwork mount.
The coat of arms is finely detailed with 3 griffins, 2 tudor roses and a heart motif. The arms are within an ancanthus scrollwork outer border.
Typically late 18th Century in design, the fob is in wonderful condition.
Era: Georgian, 1714 - 1837.
Measurements: 2.3cm in height, 2 cm at widest point, 4.8 grams in weight.
Hallmarks: Unmarked, tests as 15ct gold.
