Georgian 18th Century Bedside Night Table.

A Superb Quality Late 18th Century, George III Period, Mahogany Bedside Night Table, Or Tray Top Commode, Having Elegant Shaped Tray Top With Pierced Handles, Over One Double Panelled Door Flanked By Banded, Canted Corners And One Converted Pull Out Drawer With Original Brass Handle And Square Chamfered Legs.

A great example of the much sought after Georgian bedside night table, this bedside table is fantastic quality and in excellent condition. The mahogany timbers used to construct it from are wonderfully figured and there are some really lovely touches of class in the construction which go above and beyond what one would find on the average example of an 18th century tray top commode.

This particular design continues to prove an extremely popular option for bedside tables due to the relative sturdiness, especially when compared to various other bedside options, the storage they are able to offer and the tray type tops which make it much less likely items perched on the top will get knocked over.

As with all items which we offer for sale this bedside table has been inspected in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained traditional antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being offered for sale, ensuring that it is ready to be placed immediately into the home.
