George III Chippendale Giltwood Mirror Circa 1760.
A fine quality mid 18th century Chippendale period carved giltwood mirror.
The rectangular border glass mirror, retaining its original gilding and original plate, within a design of sweeping and delicate C–scrolls and acanthus leaf, pierced foliate sides with floral garlands and a shaped central cartouche with a pair of carved sheep on a stylized mound and with a shaped and pierced cresting topped by a carved basket filled with flowers.
