A George III silver wine/decanter coaster made in London in 1800 by Robert and David Hennell. The coaster is hand pierced in a lozenge latticework design and still retains its original mahogany wood insert. The crest is engraved with the original owners family crest to one side and interestingly to one side there is a Russian control mark indicating that at some time in the nineteenth century it was imported into Russia. The coaster is in excellent condition.
