A very fine quality George II silver salver made in London In 1744 by Robert Abercrombie .The salver has a delicate shell border and stands on three hoof feet and to the centre there is a beautiful original lozenge shape cartouche surrounding a rococo border.The lozenge shape signifies it was made for a lady.The salver is in excellent condition and has a lovely patina.Robert Abercrombie was a specialist maker of salvers (He is sometimes spelt Abercromby)
