A rare antique silver George I period Irish harp handle loving cup made in Dublin in 1717 by William Bell. This fine early cup has a lovely original crest to the front with the original owners initials on the underneath of the foot. It is also engraved with its original scratchweight. Irish silver of this early date is becoming increasingly rare. Interestingly William Bell’s mark is shown on the internet as having been seen on a cup of 1717 - it is probably this piece.
