Four wonderful George III antique silver candlesticks, standing on square bead edge bases.

The bases are decorated with husk garland swags; on three of the sides there are cartouches of flowers and on the fourth side the cartouche contains a crest.

This superb set of four Adam period candlesticks remain in superb condition.

The columns are reeded; the capitals are Empire style with outstandingly detailed husk swags.

The original correctly hallmarked removable nozzles also have a bead edge and are crested.

There is an almost identical set (pair only) in New York’s Metropolitan Museum. See images for Museum pair.
