A Fine Swedish late Gustavian Console Table, Early 19th Century attributed to Jonas Frisk (active in Stockholm 1805-1824).
Swedish 1815.
The inset Carrara marble top enclosed by a carved cyma recta (ogee) moulded edge above a silver-gilt frieze decorated with neoclassical motifs supported on spiral turned, tapering legs topped with gilt balls terminating on gilt feet standing on a faux-marble painted platform base.
It is particularly rare to see the combination of silver and gold gilding, far more common to find gold parcel gilt on a black ground. In excellent original condition.
