A pair of fine Japanese, late 19th Century Silver vases with Shibuichi patination to the bodies and fine onlaid multi-metal decoration of a family of chickens.
The adult chickens and surrounding flowers and vegetation are highlighted in Gold, Silver, Shakudo and Shibuichi, the Cloisonne cleverly used to give realistic colour to the chicks and the combs and wings of the adult chickens.
The necks and feet with an art nouveau style scrolling foliate with highlights picked out in orange and blue Cloisonnes.
