English Circa 1825 A fine George IV period rosewood window seat of generous proportions, having a shallow buttoned leather upholstered cushion seat set within padded out-scrolled arms, with leaf and patera carved facings over a panelled seat-rail, raised upon lappet-carved baluster legs terminating on the original brass castors.

Mirror finished to the back so to stand freely within the room if desired. Extremely well designed, very much in the manner of George Smith (1786-182) whose pattern books influenced contemporary makers such as Morel and Hughes,
