Japanese Meiji-era silk embroidery depicting a flock of grazing chickens.
Depicting a Rooster and a group of chickens foraging for grains, this is a wonderful example of fine Japanese silk embroidery of the Meiji-era.
The cockerel with impressive tail feathers and head bowed is flanked by two hens and in the background a further eight chickens look on.
